2 Sorry but orders to Scottish Highlands & Islands, Northern Ireland, the Scilly Isles, the Isle of Man, and the Channel Isles are not eligible for Free Delivery and incur a flat delivery charge of £3.99 - this is a contribution to the significantly higher costs we ourselves are charged by our couriers for delivery to these areas. To allow us to keep the Channel Isles delivery charge to just £3.99 we do not refund the VAT on Channel Isles orders.
3 Next Day Delivery and Name The Day Delivery are not available to the Scottish Highlands & Islands, Northern Ireland, the Scilly Isles, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands. Furthermore, neither method is available if your order includes Personalised items (see our Personalised Terms & Conditions for details) or if you send an order through the post and pay by cheque.

Next Day orders placed after 3pm will be processed the following working day. So, for example, a Next Day order placed at 4pm on Thursday should be delivered on Monday. In the run up to Christmas, because of the volume of orders being processed by our couriers, Next Day delivery may occasionally take an extra day. 5 To receive a text message from our courier with a 1-hour delivery window please provide us with your mobile telephone number. The courier will send this text message during the morning of the day of your delivery.
All charges assume delivery to one address in the UK. We regret we are unable to despatch to BFPO addresses. Any offers relating to delivery apply to standard delivery only to mainland UK addresses. Delivery lead times quoted are in estimated working days, please also be aware of local Bank Holidays as they may delay delivery
Delivery - Where's My Order?
Although we endeavour to despatch all orders as quickly as possible, usually within 2 working days of receipt, we do ask you to allow extra time at busy periods, especially in the run up to Christmas. However, please do let us know if your order is required for a birthday or any other special occasion - enter this in the Special Requirements box at Checkout - we will do everything we can to meet your requirements.
Upon receipt of your order we will email you an Order Acknowledgement (please check your spam box if you don't think you've received it). Then, upon despatch, we will send you a Despatch Confirmation email providing more precise details about when your order will arrive, together (as appropriate) with tracking details for your order. For larger orders we will then also send text messages giving you more details about your delivery (please enter your mobile number as your phone number).
Depending upon the delivery option you select, we will despatch your order using either a Royal Mail Tracked Service, Royal Mail First Class post or ParcelForce service.
Larger orders will require a signature upon delivery. If you are likely to be out when your order is due to be delivered, consider providing an alternative delivery address, such as a work address - or enter Delivery Instructions during checkout to suggest a neighbour as a back up. Please do not ask for orders to be left in the open, by the dustbin or worse still in the dustbin. We have known orders to be delivered on bin day and never seen again!
If you are paying by Paypal, the Paypal website may show a screen which allows you to change your delivery address. Please DO NOT change your delivery address here on the Paypal website - we will deliver to the delivery address that you specify on our own website during Checkout. If you need to change your delivery address, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on 01403 790796 and we will change if for you if we can.
Where's My Order? If your order contains personalised items they do take about 14 days to arrive and your complete order will be delivered together at this time. If you ordered on our website check your Order Acknowledgement and Order Despatch emails (these occasionally go into spam/junk boxes, so please do check there too!) Furthermore, you can log into your account and click on "orders" to check the status of your order (if you ordered as a guest this is not possible). COVID-19 & Brexit Update: Outside the UK, we are currently only able to despatch orders to Ireland. Please see below for delivery charges and important information regarding VAT and import duty.
The following table gives our delivery prices to certain overseas countries and territories, using a fully trackable ParcelForce service. We are only able to deliver to those countries listed below. Orders to overseas countries are despatched just as quickly and arrive as fast as their national delivery services allow.
|Republic of Ireland
With effect from January 2021, customs charges such as VAT and Import Duty may be payable by recipients of parcels in EU countries. Mulberry Bush is not responsible for these charges, these must be paid by the customer or parcel recipient prior to delivery. We cannot advise how much these charges may be, however our understanding is:
- Items priced at over £15 are subject to Import VAT, typically around 21% of the item(s) price (the actual amount depends upon the country imported into)
- Items or order totals at or over £135 may also be subject to Import Duty (this we understand is dependant upon the item type and where it is manufactured - and usually is up to 4% of the item(s) price)
This guidance is based upon our understanding to try to help customers and should not be relied upon necessarily to be correct. If you are concerned, we advise customers to make your own investigations prior to placing your order. Once your order is despatched you will be contacted usually by our courier and asked to pay any necessary customs charges. In the event that these are not paid and the parcel returns to us, the refund we provide will be reduced to cover the courier charges we incur (charged at cost). Please also note that the item price on our website for orders delivered to EU countries includes an administrative charge equivalent to UK VAT that would otherwise not be included.
We are happy to send orders placed anywhere in the world for delivery to UK addresses, where our UK delivery prices apply. Please note, we reserve the right not to accept payment by Paypal where an order is to be despatched to a forwarding agent.
Collect from our Sussex Warehouse
Please note, due to the Coronavirus, our customer collection process has changed. Customer collection of orders is still possible but we want to make it safe for yourselves and our staff. Please place your order as normal, but please do not come in to collect until we advise you to say that your order is ready for you (we will email you). We will then ask you to come in to collect, and ask that you to phone us from your car when you arrive. We will bring you order out to your car so you will not have to come into our warehouse building. Thank you.
Our deadlines for pre-Christmas delivery are:
- Standard Delivery: midnight on 20th December
- Next Day Delivery: 1pm on 22nd December

Gift Wrapping & Gift Messages
We will be happy to gift wrap your order, where feasible, for an additional £3.00 per item. (Please note some items are too large to wrap, in which case the Gift Wrap option is not available). Gift wrapping is with good quality wrapping paper. As a default, all orders placed in November and December are wrapped in Christmas wrapping paper, and all orders placed in other months are wrapped using a non-Christmas paper (eg for a birthday). If you prefer birthday paper in the run up to Christmas or Christmas paper at other times of the year, you can request this in the Special Requirements box on the Basket page.
If you would like us to include a Gift Message with your gift, this can be done free of charge. Please tick "Include a Gift Message instead of your Receipt" during Checkout and then include the wording in the Gift Message box.
